Ever since the end of 2017, Lichess has been regularly hosting "Titled Arenas", open only to titled players and with a total prize fund of at least $1000 each. The first titled arena was won by world champion Magnus Carlsen, and he has regularly participated in (and won) titled arenas since then under different aliases. Recently Alireza Firouzja has won many titled arenas as well, and is approaching Magnus' record number of titled arena victories. In total there have now been 47 titled arenas, with 3999 unique players taking part in one or more of these events.
The titled arenas are included in the rankings (see the overall rankings here), and for completeness all events are listed below in chronological O, with the most recent events first. |
